Modi government has decided to set up women’s help desks in all the police stations of the country amidst the chaos around the country for women’s safety. For this, 100 crore rupees will be given from the Nirbhaya Fund to the states.

The government believes that once the women helpdesk is created, the police stations will be helped to make them women-friendly. This fund was created to ensure the safety of women after the Nirbhaya incident in Delhi.

A senior home minister officially said that all the states and union territories of the country have been asked to set up women’s help desks in all their police stations. For this, the central assistance of Rs 100 crore has been approved. Police stations that already have a women’s help desk will be strengthened with the help of this fund.

Women can feel free to register their complaints at any time
