According to Counterpoint Research’s smartphone segment above Rs 30,000, Samsung launched the Galaxy S10 Lite and the Galaxy Note 10 Lite as a new price range early in the year, benefiting from it. OnePlus had a long dominance in this price range. Samsung has also benefited from the Samsung Galaxy S20 series launched this year.
Samsung is followed by Apple, which has retained its second position. However, Samsung may find it difficult to save its first position in the next quarter. After the launch of Apple iPhone SE 2020 and OnePlus 8 Series, there may be some changes in this quarter. Samsung has a market share of 34 percent in the premium segment.
Apple has strengthened its dominance in the ultra premium segment. Due to the success of the iPhone 11 series, Apple’s market share has increased to 55 percent in this segment. The company has registered a year-on-year growth of 326 percent.
Talking about the best selling premium smartphone in India, the iPhone 11 holds the first place with 17 percent market share. At the same time, OnePlus 7T is in second place with 11 percent market share. At the same time, the iPhone XR 9 occupies the third place with a market share.
