A major accident occurred due to a gas leak at a plastic factory in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh this morning. So far 8 people have died in the gas leaking incident. Andhra Pradesh DGP Damodar Gautam Sawang has informed that 8 people have died so far in the Visakhapatnam gas leak accident. DGP informed that the gas has been controlled. About 800 were hospitalized, many were discharged. How this happened will be investigated.
Andhra Pradesh Industries Minister MG Reddy told that after the gas leakage was reported in the factory, the lockdown process was started immediately. Local administration was informed. The gas was immediately neutralized into a harmless liquid. But some gas, The factory moved out of the premises and reached nearby areas, affecting the people.
He said that the company that was managing it should be responsible for the incident. They have to come forward and tell us which protocols were followed and which were not followed. Accordingly, criminal action will be taken against him.

After gas leakage was reported in the factory, lockdown procedure was initiated immediately. Local admin was informed. Gas was neutralized to harmless liquid form.
