5 lakh people are expected to start the New Year by having a darshan at the Shri Mahakaleshwar temple.
Mahakaleshwar Temple is one of the 12 Jyotirlingas in the country. Devotees from the country and abroad come here for darshan. The crowd of devotees is more on New Year. Everyone wants to start with blessings from Mahakal.
Because of the huge number of devotees, Shri Mahakaleshwar Temple Management Committee has changed the darshan system. Visitors will enter from Shri Mahakal Lok. Visitors with the protocol will enter from gate number 4 only.
To improve the arrangements of the temple, 500 policemen have been deputed. Assistant administrator Moolchand Junwal said that the effort is that the devotees get darshan in 40 minutes.
Apart from this, security arrangements have been tightened in and around the temple. 6 help centers have been set up to advise the devotees. A medical team and ambulance have been arranged to deal with any emergency.
